ACCOMPLISHMENTS

A comprehensive AJSM file includes as much relevant information about the employee's performance as possible. Notable achievements are those accomplishments that brought notoriety to the company or the employee and were highlights of the employee's exemplary performance. Some examples of notable accomplishments to put into an annual appraisal include company or industry awards the employee won, publications the employee's work was in, high-profile projects the employee was part of, and any suggestions the employee gave that were used by the company to increase production or improve operations.

JOINT VENTURE

AJSM have a variety of options when considering business strategies. We believe one of the most effective strategies to consider is a joint venture (JV). We think JVs are a natural fit for many Businesses and they’ve certainly worked for us in the past. At AJSM, we think of our business as helping people (our customers) get what they want. In return, if our business does a fantastic job those customers will support our business and help it grow. When you think about it, a joint venture relies on the same concept. Help another organization get what it wants, while in turn you get what you want.

SUCCESSFUL

Regardless of your definition of success, there are, oddly enough, a great number of common characteristics that are shared by successful businesspeople. You can place a check beside each characteristic that you feel that you possess. This way, you can see how you stack up. Even if you don't have all of these characteristics, don't fret. Most can be learned with practice and by developing a winning attitude, especially if you set goals and apply yourself, through strategic planning, to reach those goals in incremental and measurable stages as we do in AJSM.

MOTIVATED

It is important for AJSM and our managers to understand how goals affect motivation. Having no goals at all will almost certainly cause low motivation, but badly-planned goals, or those that are too vague or don't adhere to the company's direction, can have the same effect. Goals that are well defined, within the grasp of reality and adhere to the company's primary objectives, mission and scope of work, will almost always result in positive motivation.
